On v1.0.3 and the future of Blood Week
Having your work laid bare in front of others can be a very daunting process, and seeing a streamer (thank you d757gaming!) playing this game certainly made me very anxious to see what people had to think about the game.
About 2 weeks ago, I decided that I would turn the story of Blood Week into the 3 part novel of Blood Day. (I changed the name because I realised shortly after release that Blood week can be... interpreted in more than one way). Developing this game was an excitingly new process for me, and I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately though, I've realised long before the mixed, perhaps more so negative, reviews came in that game development just isn't for me.
I don't feel like I've wasted any time however, as I learnt both new skills and some new things about myself. One such thing was that I don't check my work over. This Is why I realised v1.0.3 of the game, as now you will start in the beginning cutscene of the game, and not randomly in the middle of the woods, completely invisible without any items. Sorry about that!
Either way, thank you everyone for taking the time to play my game, especially if you left feedback, good and bad. It will be a few years until I finally tell my story of Blood Day, but when it is finished, I hope that you take the time to read it.
Thank you!
Christian
